CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals™, is proud to announce that the CEDIA Smart Home Awards EMEA will return this October, celebrating its 20th year in 2026. Taking place on 23rd October, the awards ceremony will return to the Natural History Museum in London, one of the most iconic venues to ever host the event. This milestone year will mark two decades of recognising the outstanding excellence, innovation and craftsmanship across the smart home industry.
Since launching in the UK in 2006, the CEDIA Smart Home Awards has grown into one of the industry’s most prestigious programmes, honouring outstanding projects, products, businesses, and individuals. Since then, the scheme has expanded into a global programme. As the EMEA awards enters its 20th year, the 2026 celebration will reflect on the programme’s legacy, while looking ahead to the future of connected living under CEDIA’s global theme, Beyond What You See.
“The first ever award winners were announced on the CEDIA stand at CEDIA Expo in the UK with just a handful of members being recognised,” said Matt Nimmons, Managing Director at CEDIA EMEA. “Over the past two decades, the programme has grown exponentially, and the awards ceremony is a key date in the industry calendar. I am excited to mark the milestone this year at the Natural History Museum.”
Returning as headline sponsor for its seventh consecutive year is Monitor Audio Group, the independent British audio brand known for its high-fidelity, cinema, and architectural speaker solutions. With more than 50 years of engineering expertise, Monitor Audio Group continues to invest in the smart home channel through initiatives such as its new 6,000 sq. ft. Experience Centre and the Elevate Sound Performance Academy at its global headquarters in Rayleigh, Essex, designed to educate, inspire, and support partners across the industry.
“We’re excited to return as headline sponsor as the awards celebrate its 20th year. This milestone highlights the ongoing innovation and talent that push the smart home industry forward,” explains Michael Johnson, Global Marketing Director at Monitor Audio Group. “It’s an important year for Monitor Audio group with new developments signalling a major investment in the future of home technology. Celebrating these achievements alongside CEDIA’s milestone, especially at London’s iconic Natural History Museum, makes this event even more special. We’re proud to support the people, products and projects shaping our industry’s future.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to championing innovation, design excellence and exceptional performance across the smart home sector. With the grandeur of the Natural History Museum providing the backdrop, this year’s black-tie event will bring together integrators, manufacturers, specifiers and industry leaders from across the region for a special anniversary celebration.
