CEDIA has announced further details on its 2026 UK Tech + Business Summits, a series of one-day events designed to support the collaboration between residential technology professionals, architects, and designers.
Taking place across four UK locations – London, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh – the Summits will bring together integrators, specifiers, and design professionals for a programme of CPD-accredited education, industry-led discussions, and networking. The events are focused on helping professionals better understand how integrated technology can support the design, delivery, and long-term performance of residential projects.
With a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing and business growth, the Summits provide a platform for attendees to exchange insights and explore how technology can be more effectively incorporated into the built environment.
Manchester Summit to Lead with Expanded Programme
On 21 April, the Summit series will make its debut in Manchester, featuring a full educational programme as well as opportunities to network.
A key session will include a CPD-accredited presentation focused on the integration of smart home technologies within residential design. The session is aimed at architects and designers looking to better understand how to incorporate connected solutions into projects from an early stage, supporting improved project outcomes and a more seamless collaboration with technology professionals.
In addition, a panel discussion featuring industry experts, Luke Anderson, Chartered Architect and Director at Calderpeel Architects and Helen Knox, Founder & Interior Designer at Lewis Knox, will explore the importance of collaboration between integrators, architects, and designers. This session will address the common challenges faced across disciplines and highlight best practices for delivering successful, technology-enabled residential environments.
“Technology brings a whole range of benefits throughout a project’s lifecycle, from software that fuels creativity at the feasibility stages to systems that provide ease of use for occupants once built. Our goal as designers is to create seamless buildings, and technology can facilitate spaces that are easily adapted for new occupants or lifestyles.” explains Luke Anderson.
“A large part of practising architecture is problem-solving, and the best technology integrators come on that journey with us, providing solutions at the early stages of a project to help avoid delays or late design changes. This collaboration supports the seamless integration of systems into our buildings.”
Supporting Cross-Industry Collaboration
CEDIA’s Tech + Business Summits are structured to encourage meaningful engagement between different sectors of the residential construction and technology industries. Alongside the education programme, attendees will have opportunities to network with integrators, manufacturers, and fellow professionals, helping to build relationships that support future projects.
For architects and designers, the events provide direct access to the expertise and solutions available within the smart home sector, while integrators benefit from increased engagement with specifiers and project stakeholders.
“When thoughtfully integrated, technology brings clarity, efficiency and a seamless user experience to our projects” shares Helen Knox. “We look for partners who combine technical expertise with design sensitivity, clear communication and problem-solving agility. Close collaboration is essential, as it ensures the technology enhances the overall vision rather than competing with it, resulting in a cohesive and intuitive final outcome.”
Further Details to Be Announced
Additional information on sessions, speakers, and CPD opportunities across all Summit locations will be announced in the coming months.
CEDIA’s Tech + Business Summits continue to play a key role in supporting industry development, providing accessible education and facilitating collaboration across the residential technology sector.
