Our designing ethernet and wireless networks course explores modern network topology including traffic flow, infrastructure planning, connectivity options and planned redundancy.
During this training session, students will work in groups to develop a robust network that will be stable for an initial and developing list of connected host devices. Wired and wireless connectivity will be included as well as host devices from the AV, computing and mobile world.
Both wired and wireless networks will be considered with consideration for retro-fit and new build properties. Additional subject matter includes power planning, equipment location and rack design, testing strategies, and upgradability.
The IP network is the backbone of every modern custom installation and the number of connected devices is ever growing. It is now crucial that the fundamental design of any home ethernet and wireless network is robust and well-conceived. It is no longer good enough to just ‘plug it in to any available socket’ come install time!
In an increasingly connected world, where homes are filled with numerous devices requiring reliable connectivity, this course provides essential knowledge on traffic flow, connectivity options, and redundancy planning. After completing the course, participants will be equipped to design robust networks for both new and retrofit properties, incorporating wired and wireless solutions.
The skills gained from the Designing Ethernet and Wireless Networks Training have versatile applications beyond the training environment. For instance, in smart home installation, technicians can utilise their understanding of network topology, traffic flow, and connectivity to create reliable networks supporting various devices. Additionally, knowledge of network infrastructure is valuable for designing home cinema systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for audiovisual equipment. These skills are also applicable in project management, where proficiency in network design and equipment planning can aid in implementing and maintaining networks for businesses and residential properties. Overall, these skills are essential for designing and implementing efficient network infrastructures in various settings.
