CEDIA Certification is an internationally recognized set of credentials that reflect defined areas of knowledge and skills in the home technology industry. Smart Home technicians can earn certification at Expo by passing one of the exams offered on Thursday and Friday. 2026 Education ConferenceWhile at EXPO, we will also be hosting our CEDIA Americas Awards during the week, which is the most prestigious awards celebrating Smart Home success in the Americas region. Judged by a panel of esteemed industry experts, the CEDIA Awards celebrate projects, products, and individuals exemplifying innovation and excellence in the residential electronics systems industry.
During the event, CEDIA will also honour the Lifetime Achievement recipient, CEDIA Fellow, and Volunteers of the Year, leading up to the ceremony.
2026 CEDIA Americas AwardsCEDIA Expo 2026 takes place at the Colorado Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown Denver. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, with Denver Union Station just a short walk away and Denver International Airport (DEN) served by the A-Line train directly into the city centre.

Yes. Certification exams are offered on Thursday and Friday of Expo week. Review courses and exam preparation sessions are available as part of the Education Conference programme.
New for 2026, the Skills Challenge is a live, hands-on competition testing technical proficiency across cable termination, rack building, speaker installation, and troubleshooting. Daily heats run throughout the show, with a final on Friday 4 September.
The Exhibit Hall is open Wednesday 2 September (9am–5pm), Thursday 3 September (9am–5pm), and Friday 4 September (9am–3pm). The Education Conference begins on Tuesday 1 September.
No. CEDIA Expo is open to all professionals in the smart home and AV integration industry. CEDIA members receive discounted or free access, but non-members are welcome to register and attend.
