For the residential systems integration community, CEDIA Expo has long been more than a trade show. We believe that it is the industry’s annual gathering point. A place where integrators, manufacturers, designers, architects, and technology professionals come together to see the latest innovations, strengthen relationships, attend education, and take practical ideas back into their businesses.
While its roots are firmly in custom and residential integration, the event now reflects a much broader connected environment, with many attendees also working on light commercial projects. That breadth is one of the things that makes the show so valuable, bringing together everything from home cinema and entertainment spaces to lighting, networking, security, work-from-home systems, and whole-home lifestyle solutions.

Education remains a central part of the CEDIA Expo experience. The CEDIA Education Conference at Expo is designed to support professionals at every stage of their development, with sessions focused on technical excellence, business growth, emerging technologies shaping connected spaces, and certification exams. Alongside the conference program, attendees can access manufacturer product training, keynote content, the CEDIA Town Hall, and various awards activity across the week.
What makes CEDIA Expo particularly valuable is the way activity extends beyond the exhibition hall. Destination Outdoors, located directly across from the Colorado Convention Center between the Hyatt and Embassy Suites, gives attendees an additional environment in which to explore outdoor technology solutions. Free for attendees to visit, the area showcases outdoor lighting, audio, video, and connected entertainment solutions, creating a natural extension of the indoor show experience.
It also supports the networking culture that has become such an important part of the event. After a full day on the show floor, attendees can continue conversations outside, meet peers and manufacturers in a more relaxed setting, and build the relationships that often prove as valuable as the product launches themselves. Manufacturer events, dinners, hospitality rooms, and brand-led gatherings add further opportunities to connect, making the week a near full-day experience from morning through to evening.
CEDIA Expo also provides a platform for celebrating the people helping to shape the industry. A highlight of the week is the Women in Consumer Technology Luncheon, taking place on Thursday, September 3 in the Mile High Ballroom. Now in its 18th year, the event brings the community together to recognize the WiCT Legacy Award winners, with networking followed by the main awards luncheon.
It is certainly a signature event at CEDIA Expo, and one that everybody looks forward to. The luncheon celebrates women across consumer technology and continues to be one of the week’s most anticipated moments.
For integrators, the value of attending lies in seeing new products and understanding the direction of travel for the market. With connected technologies moving quickly, CEDIA Expo gives visitors the chance to compare solutions, explore new categories, discuss real-world challenges, and identify opportunities for growth. Areas such as AI, lighting, outdoor entertainment, networking, and integrated system design are increasingly central to the conversation, reflecting the way homes and light commercial spaces are becoming more experience-led.
The show’s co-location with Commercial Integrator Expo further expands that perspective, recognizing the overlap between residential and light commercial integration and giving attendees access to a broader range of technologies, training, and business conversations.
For anyone working in smart home, AV, security, lighting, networking, or connected environments, the message is clear: CEDIA Expo 2026 offers a concentrated opportunity to learn, connect, explore, and leave Denver with a sharper view of the year ahead. Register now at cediaexpo.com.
