ISE has long been a fixture for residential integrators. What makes ISE 2026 unmissable for this community?
Every year, we strive to deliver an experience that’s both inspiring and practical for residential integrators, and 2026 is set to raise the bar yet again. Our theme this year, Push Beyond, reflects the pace of innovation and the increasing complexity of the residential sector. ISE 2026 is designed to help integrators move beyond the noise and focus on what truly matters: actionable strategies, emerging technologies, and practical insights to grow their businesses.
The Residential & Smart Building Technology Zone in Halls 1 and 2 is a major highlight. By bringing together the world’s leading solution providers, this zone allows integrators to explore the latest in connected home solutions, energy-efficient systems, and smart automation all in one place. For anyone focused on high-end residential projects, these halls will offer a fantastic overview of what’s shaping the market today.
We’re also introducing our high-end Listening Suites this year – eight premium residential audio brands in dedicated, acoustically optimized spaces in CC2. This gives attendees the chance to experience products in conditions that mimic real-world installations, making it easier to evaluate solutions for their clients.
If you’re looking to deepen your technical expertise and discover new technologies, ISE 2026 is the place to be.
Can you tell us about any new features or updates that residential integrators should be particularly excited about this year?
We’re introducing several new and enhanced features designed to support residential integrators. Beyond the Listening Suites, highlights include the CyberSecurity Summit and new Tech Tours.
The CyberSecurity Summit addresses one of the most pressing issues for smart homes today: protecting connected systems from evolving threats. Integrators will gain insight into practical, actionable strategies for safeguarding client networks and devices – knowledge that is increasingly becoming a core part of the value they offer.
The Tech Tours offer a unique, behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge residential and mixed-use environments. A standout this year is the tour of SHOOT ESTUDIOS in central Barcelona on Thursday 5 February (08:30–11:30). Here, attendees can experience three luxury apartments – Brooklyn Loft, Royale, and 027 - that double as event or live production sets. Each space demonstrates how lighting, automation, and control systems transform interiors into adaptable, high-performance environments, alongside production and pre-production offices. It’s a rare opportunity to see technology integrated seamlessly into authentic, stylish residential settings.
Education, of course, remains central to the show. CEDIA’s Smart Home Technology Conference offers deep-dive sessions on topics such as mastering the last 5% of project delivery, adopting AI in smart homes, and building a sustainable business culture. The RP-32 Audio System Measurement and Verification Workshop on Monday provides hands-on training for standards-based performance verification in both residential and commercial projects.
What are the trends you’re seeing in the residential sector and how will these be reflected at ISE 2026?
ISE 2026 is shining a spotlight on several Megatrends, which will be explored in depth through dedicated sessions: AI, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Smart Spaces, Sustainability, and TradeScape. These sessions are designed to give attendees both a strategic overview and practical guidance on how to incorporate these trends into their work. For integrators in particular, the sessions on AI, Cybersecurity, Robotics, and Smart Spaces are especially relevant, showing how these technologies can be used to create smarter, safer, and more adaptable homes.
AI is transforming technology, from intelligent home automation to personalized experiences and predictive energy management. Our sessions will explore how AI can enhance client satisfaction while streamlining system operation.
Cybersecurity is no longer optional – connected homes are increasingly vulnerable, and integrators are expected to offer robust security measures. Prioritizing cybersecurity involves implementing strong measures and educating people on best practices.
Robotics is starting to make its mark in the world of AV, whether through automated cameras, drone-assisted installations, or robotic system maintenance. You’ll be able to see demonstrations and learn how these tools can improve precision and efficiency.
Smart Spaces represent the growing integration of technology into the way people live and work. From energy management to AI-driven automation, these sessions will showcase how connected environments can be safer, more sustainable, and more responsive to occupants’ needs.
