Home Technology Integrator

Any company substantially engaged in the design and/or installation of home technology systems. The Home Technology Integrator membership classification is a company membership and each employee is considered a CEDIA member and may take advantage of member benefits.

Trade Supplier (Manufacturers & Distributors) 

Any company that supplies equipment, goods, parts or services to Home Technology Integrators. This classification includes manufacturers and distributors and is a company membership and each employee is considered a CEDIA member and may take advantage of member benefits.

Industry-Related Professional 

Any company that provides services to the home technology industry. Consulting services, manufacturer representatives, trade magazines or other media, schools, associations, and other trades working in the home are examples of companies which will be included in the Industry-Related Professional class. This class is a company membership, and each employee is considered a CEDIA member and may take advantage of member benefits.

Individual Membership 

Individuals who are entering, training within, retired from, or exploring the home technology industry. The Individual Membership allows one (1) person to access limited membership benefits. The CEDIA Outreach Instructor Program, CEDIA Groups, Exhibitor Discounts, Finder Service listing, Member of Excellence program, CEDIA Logo and any company/project-based CEDIA Awards, member rates for The Cinema Designer and market research are not included in the Individual Membership.

CEDIA Membership Renewals FAQs

How do I renew my CEDIA Membership?

You can renew with ease by logging into cedia.org/renew. Through the portal you can pay by VISA or MasterCard, and for those in the Americas or Asia – AMEX. 

You can also pay via BACS or ACH using the details enclosed on your invoice.  

Additionally, the CEDIA Membership team will be happy to support and can take secure payments over the phone.

I need help logging into my CEDIA account. 

Head to my.cedia.org and select I forgot my password. If you have an account with CEDIA, you can follow the steps to update your account. In the future, you can change your password by going to My Account and then, My Settings when logged in. 

Tip: Your password should be considered Very Strong which would include the following: 
length = 8, numeric characters = 1, upper case characters = 1, lower case characters = 1, symbol characters = 1.

How does the membership cycle work?

CEDIA Memberships follow the calendar year (January–December). Your first year of CEDIA Membership you pay the full dues amount. Your second year is a pro-rata amount based on your join date. We encourage our members to renew by the deadline of 30 January 2026 to ensure you are making the most of your membership throughout the year.

How do I upgrade my membership?

If you’re an integrator company, you have a few membership options to explore. When in the renewal portal you can view all the upgrade options available to you. We encourage you explore the differences in benefits here or reach out to member@cedia.org to discuss your options.

Can anyone at the company pay the bill?

Only individuals with Primary Contact permissions can pay through the online portal. You can have multiple staff with these permissions, reach out to member@cedia.org if you need support in identifying these individuals on your account.  

Can I set up a payment plan?

We don’t offer payment plans on our membership options.  

I have a special pricing; do I need to apply a discount code?

We do not offer a discount code for CEDIA Membership. However, we do offer emerging marketing pricing on for those in eligible regions. This pricing is applied on the final check-out page. If you think you should be eligible for a special pricing, or you are not seeing your discounted pricing, please email member@cedia.org.  

How long until my payment is applied?

Please plan for 2-3 business days. We aim to check the bank activity daily. Payments by wire usually arrive the next day, but ACH takes 2 business days to process so it could take 72 hours before we see it. 

Can I set up an auto renewal?

Absolutely! You can save one or more credit cards for payment of automatic renewals: https://my.cedia.org/My-Account/My-AutoPay If you want to set this up for 2026 renewals, be sure to do this before Monday, December 8, 2025. 

When renewing your membership, you will also have the option to securely save your card for future renewal payments.  

When are renewals open?

Renewals open 17 November 2025 and close 30 January 2026

To make sure you don’t lose access to your benefits, we recommend renewing during this window. If you miss the deadline, your membership will be suspended, but you can still renew later in 2026. Please note, all memberships end on 31 December 2026, regardless of when you renew.

What are the differences between the integrator tiers?

At CEDIA, we have three Integrator Membership tiers designed to fit your business goals — whether you’re just starting out or ready to take things to the next level. 

  • Starter: Perfect for newcomers! Get access to the essentials you need to launch your smart home career. (You can stay at this level for up to 2 years.)
