The client, National Polo Center, wanted a reliable and seamlessly controllable audio system across a 161-acre property that matched the quality expectations of its membership, without a visible sprawl of speakers on a tight timeline
Petrone Technology Group designed and built a new distributed audio system from scratch, working with Coastal Source's design team to plan speaker placement and conduit routing (using Google Earth aerial imagery in place of missing landscape drawings) before running new direct-burial-rated cable through conduit across the pool area, patio, and restaurant.
Control was consolidated onto the client's existing Control4 platform to restrict access to staff, the property's multi-network Wi-Fi setup was rebuilt in collaboration with the client's IT team, and Wattbox/OVRc power management was added for surge protection in a high-lightning region. The scope also expanded mid-project to include a full rebuild of the restaurant's outdated audio system.
Routing was carefully mapped in advance so the conduit could be buried without disturbing the finished pool and patio surfaces.
The team collaborated with the client's IT staff to redesign the network and add new wireless access points, giving the audio system a stable backbone to communicate over.
Control was locked into the existing Control4 platform with simple presets and favorites, so employees without training could operate it without risk of misuse.
Coastal Source Line Source 12.0 bollards and an 18.0 subwoofer were selected specifically for their ability to deliver a big sound array from a small footprint without failing at high volume.
