What is CEDIA Connect?

CEDIA Connect is a new in-person education program bringing globally accredited certification training directly to key member regions across the United States.

  • Interactive Classroom - Three days of hands-on, classroom-based learning with group activities and practical discussion.
  • CIT Certification - Day three focuses on Cabling and Infrastructure Technician (CIT) exam review and preparation. Sit for the CEDIA Cabling & Infrastructure Technician exam on-site. - I think this needs to state "the afternoon of day 3 focusses on CIT
  • Flexible Registration - Register for the full program, the CIT exam only, or both — tailor the experience to your needs.

Cabling and Infrastructure Technician

The goal of this course is to provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to perform, under supervision, the tasks typically assigned to an entry level cabling and infrastructure technician in the residential limited energy systems industry.

Who this is for

  • You have had little or no experience in this industry
  • You are here to learn about being a qualified, professional installation technician
  • This course includes classroom lab exercises introducing concepts such as blueprint reading, redline markups, project scope, and work breakdown tasks

FAQs - CEDIA Connect

What is CEDIA Connect?

CEDIA Connect is a three-day, in-person classroom training program delivering globally accredited CIT (Cabling & Infrastructure Technician) certification education directly to key U.S. regions, hosted at ADI facilities.

Do I need prior experience to attend?

No prior experience is required. This course is designed for entry-level technicians or those new to the residential limited energy systems industry who want to build foundational skills and earn their CIT certification.

What is included in the 3-day program?

The program includes hands-on classroom lab exercises, blueprint reading, cable and equipment scheduling, cabling practices, safety training, and a full CIT review session and proctored CIT exam on Day 3. Lunch is provided each day.

Is CEDIA Connect the same as the CEDIA Tech + Business Summits?

No, they are separate programs. CEDIA Connect is a certification-focused training workshop, while the Tech + Business Summits are broader industry events. Together they expand access to in-person education across the U.S.
