Advance Networking Bootcamp

CIT Jumpstart

Home Acoustics Alliance Certification Course (HAA)

This 4-day in person advanced courses are a must-attend class for theater designers, AV salespeople, project managers, and every integrator. Learning begins with the 1-day online HAA Level One taken prior to the workshops. The 4-day in-person class includes the HAA Level Two and Three 2-day sessions to complete the learning experience.

Imaging Science Foundation Certification Course (ISF)

This course is perfect for home theater enthusiasts and HDTV manufacturing product managers, gaming creators and broadcast executives, and many A/V dealers and distributors. This three-day course consists of 1 day of self-paced online learning (LEVEL I) and 2 days of in-person hands-on training (LEVEL II).  ISF Certification will be attained after successful completion of the full course.

THX Level

The THX Level 1 class is an introductory seminar focusing on cinema design and acoustical fundamentals from the THX perspective. It also covers the contributions by THX to the advancement of video and sound reproduction in the consumer electronics world. Created in 1986, THX is credited with bringing many of the design and calibration concepts it developed for movie studios and commercial cinemas to consumer products. Many of the elements we find in current audio products were first introduced by THX.

Home Cinema Bootcamp- HQ Dec. 2025

Home Cinema Bootcamp

Get the skills you need to be effective and efficient on the home theater job site with CEDIA’s Home Theater Boot Camp. This advanced, three-day training provides a comprehensive overview of the home theater process from installation to calibration. You’ll walk away with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly install, set up, and calibrate a typical home theater or media room system. Several hours of hands-on lab activities are included. Students will mount and install components (including a flat-panel television and projector), properly place and connect speakers and subwoofers, hang acoustic treatments, and calibrate audio and video.

Course Objectives:

  • Describe the digital and analog signals and formats currently used in audio and video systems, and how they are processed and used within the system 
  • Describe the function of various audio and video interconnects 
  • Understand the basics of room acoustics, acoustical treatment, and sound transmission issues 
  • Install components in a professional rack configuration, taking into consideration thermal management and ergonomics 
  • Utilize proper documentation and labeling of the installation 
  • Install and mount a projector, flat-panel display, and loudspeakers according to recognized industry standards (CEDIA Advanced Residential Electronic Systems and CEA/CEDIA Recommended Practices) 
  • Perform basic audio and video calibration to ensure optimum system performance
