Kew Takeaways
That's how CEDIA can give you peace of mind.
As the oldest, largest, and most highly-regarded provider of education in our industry, CEDIA has helped its members set the standard for design excellence, technical knowledge, and customer service. Below is your guide to the very best for your home and family.
All CEDIA Members must adhere to the CEDIA Code of Ethics. Our Ethics Council is in place to ensure that any complaint against a CEDIA member, whether by a member or non-member, shall be dealt with in an appropriate manner.
Ensuring customer satisfaction. Members are required to provide three client references (from projects in the last 12 months) and two references from CEDIA trade supplier members.
Volunteering & outreach to the wider community. To achieve this designation, members must either have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy in place, have a CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) or a CEDIA Volunteer on their staff. A COI actively educates design professionals about the integrated home industry. A volunteer gives their time to CEDIA and the industry to develop initiatives, resources & training.
Investing in your staff’s professional development. A percentage of staff from each member company is required to maintain 10 Continuing Education Units (CEU) per year. Across CEDIA, industry & partner training – ensuring their team has up to date knowledge from several industry relevant sources.
Dedication to providing clients with quality work. To achieve this, CEDIA member companies must have been selected as a CEDIA Awards Winner or CEDIA Awards Finalist within the last three years. Click here to be inspired by our Award-Winning members.
Demonstrating that staff have mastered a skill set and body of knowledge. A percentage of the companies’ technical staff must all have a CEDIA Certification in place. Ensuring you are working with a member company with multiple Certified individuals.
