A major remodel of an existing residence built around a single, uncompromising directive: deliver a true engineered cinema, not a media room, within a theater envelope that was already architecturally fixed and structurally interrupted by an immovable elevator shaft. The client's expectations extended beyond the theater to a fully integrated technology ecosystem spanning lighting, shading, audio, video, surveillance, and control.

ETC Florida built the project around a direct-view LG MAGNIT video wall after an intensive, iterative design process with the builder and CinemaTech evaluated projection versus direct-view LED and repeatedly reworked seating layouts within fixed constraints. That theater-level precision was carried across the rest of the home, where centralized lighting, integrated shading, distributed audio/video, enterprise-grade networking, surveillance, and control were engineered as one coordinated ecosystem rather than independent installs.

Fixed elevator shaft cutting into the theater envelope

The room layout, sightlines, and seating were engineered around the permanent structural obstruction rather than an open shell, since the shaft could not be relocated.

Theater confined to the existing remodel footprint with no room to expand

Multiple display technologies were evaluated, including projection and direct-view LED, and seating layouts were reworked repeatedly to maximize capacity within fixed walls.

First-time implementation of the LG MAGNIT direct-view LED wall

Panel calibration, structural support, and installation tolerances were addressed through detailed pre-planning, manufacturer coordination, and on-site precision adjustments.

Speakers needing to disappear without compromising acoustic performance

Working with CinemaTech, speakers were fully concealed behind acoustically transparent fabric wall systems, integrating sound treatment into the room's finish design.
