The Patagonia Bar - Excellence in Lighting finalist, EMEA, 2023

The client wanted a 1920's Cigar and Whiskey Bar with great lighting and audio. Clarke Infinity used the artist/creator/cabinet maker, Matthew Nunn to build the bar.

The integrator took the client to a stone warehouse to personally select the piece of stone the bar was to be made of. They sourced Italian Architettura Sonora Stone Cylinder speakers in a table format with lighting around the base and had custom tabletops made out of the Patagonia Stone.

Clarke Infinity completed a full lighting design and installed a coffer for dramatic effect on the ceiling – this was venetian painted with real bronze and 2700k 98CRI LED strip installed in the coffer.

The lighting is integrated into the joinery and when each cupboard is opened, a high CRI 2700K LED strip illuminates the cupboard. Orluna and Lumino light fittings creating soft light from within hidden crevices.

When a person enters the room, the back lit Patagonia Bar Top and Back Bar illuminate at their lowest level giving a soft glow to the room. When presence is no longer detected, the light softly fades off.

An Entertain Lighting Scene brings all lights on to a comfortably high level and plays a favourite playlist on the Architettura Sonora speakers.
