Set within a tropical home in regional Queensland, this private cinema was created for a homeowner with a clear vision: a reference-level movie experience that could comfortably seat friends and family, deliver concert-level audio, and feel completely immersive without disturbing the rest of the house.

After visiting the Wavetrain Cinemas showroom and experiencing both films and live concert content, the client committed to building a cinema that would prioritize sound quality, scale, and atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the world of James Bond and the relaxed glamor of the Bahamas, the cinema was designed to feel cinematic and indulgent, while still blending seamlessly with the tropical character of the home.

Every element, from speaker placement to lighting and ventilation, was carefully coordinated to maximise performance without crowding the room.

Large-format Cinematic Visuals: A high-brightness laser projector paired with a motorized masking screen creates a bold, immersive image across multiple aspect ratios.

Scene-Based Lighting: Pre-set lighting scenes guide the room from entry to viewing to exit, while also meeting local building requirements for brightness when needed.

Hidden Technology: Speakers, cabling, and acoustic treatments are concealed behind fabric walls and architectural details to keep focus on the screen.
