As this project’s name implies, this highly technical yet flawless design would impress just about anyone. Unlike many home theatre projects, the racks and equipment were built into the theme of the room rather than being hidden.
The racks are built into the wall in the hallway leading to the homeowner’s home theatre, adding to the Star Wars room themed impact. Every design detail, including red and white LED lighting was included to fit the client’s vision.
Some useful features that make this project stand out, aside from the aesthetics, are a dedicated AC system behind the racks and a high-capacity UPS. The AC system maintains a technology-safe 60 to 65-degree Fahrenheit temperature behind the racks, ensuring the system can function at its best no matter when the client decides to use the theatre. Atlanta Home Theater shared that the UPS system they installed provides clean battery power and surge protection throughout the home, which is a great addition to any tech and integration project.
The judges praised the integrator for its presentation of the technology. One commended the project saying, “Beautifully finished racks.” Another pointed out, “Visually neat and the lighting makes a nice feature of the racks.”
