Value of CEDIA Certification and Electronic Systems to
be Showcased on National TV Show Designing Spaces
INDIANAPOLIS – The Custom Electronic Design & Installation
Association (CEDIA) will be featured in an upcoming episode of Designing
Spaces, the popular television series that inspires viewers to add
to their home in order to make it more enjoyable.
The show is scheduled to broadcast nationally on May 25 on WE and May 26 on TLC at 7:00 a.m. (EST/PST), with
additional coverage on cable affiliates for ABC,
NBC, CBS, FOX, PAX and UPN. The first opportunity to view the episode
will be at 7:00 a.m. PDT/EDT on May 25. It will continue to be aired
at least 20 times in rerun version with the potential for reaching
more than 80 million households.
CEDIA’s communications efforts
are hitting their mark and increasing awareness of CEDIA among
key referral audiences and the general public,” said
Don Gilpin, executive director of CEDIA. “This is yet another
example of how CEDIA is bringing more and more value to CEDIA Certification
by making it a recognized “seal of approval.”
The segment
is part of a 30 minute program highlighting the expertise of
CEDIA-Certified electronic systems contractors and the value
of working with CEDIA members for professionally designed and
installed home electronics systems. The actual system installed during the
show is a system designed and installed by CEDIA Member Jeff
Hoover. The center includes
whole house
integration with everything from a home theater to outdoor lighting.
CEDIA is an international trade association of companies
that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for
the home. The
association was founded in September 1989 and has more than
3,500 member companies
worldwide. CEDIA Members are established and insured businesses
with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized
field.
